Well-written, and I don't think the Byrne comparison is farfetched at all. Still, I would rather listen to Graceland or anything Talking Heads than a VW album, but I can't say Contra doesn't have unique production and a keen sense of fashion. Unfortunately, new albums by Delphic, Spoon, and Yeasayer will probably keep me from letting Contra gestate properly.
